This past Sunday was the annual Bicycles Battling Cancer ride on the eastern end of the state and once again Ned rode 100 miles and I provided support, was part of the film crew, and cheered riders on at each stop. I love ringing the cow bell and cheering the riders on each year. I meet other family members and we chat about those we love who are fighting the disease. We are a loving and dedicated community and that’s why I enjoy doing my part each year. For the riders, it’s a fabulous way to take part in the fight against cancer. These days, everyone knows someone who has lost that battle or is currently fighting it and, speaking from experience, it can be frustrating. All 250 riders in this event were riding for someone and together they raised over $180,000.00 for the American Cancer Society. What a great feeling to contribute through riding your bike! Ned has been riding for three years now and it makes him feel like he is truly helping to conquer this terrible disease. Thank you Ned! And Thanks to all of the other riders. Your contributions are appreciated by all of us who want to see cancer become a disease of the past.

Best of Health,
